Yiannis has a law degree with Merit from the University of Athens. He also obtained an LL.M in Commercial and Corporate Law with Distinction and a second LL.M in International Commercial Dispute Resolution with Merit from the Queen Mary College, University of London.
He has been practising law since 2009 and he is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Mediator.
Yiannis has significant experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters and disputes and his practice focuses on:

He has also particular interest in the information and technology sector as well as in intellectual property law and video games law and provides specialised advice to entrepreneurs, investors and innovative companies.
Yiannis is a member of the Intellectual Property committee of the Cyprus Bar Association.
He also regularly represents clients in multijurisdictional cases which require the issuance of interim freezing injunctions, disclosure orders, search orders, and orders for the appointment of liquidators and receivers.
Yiannis also has extensive experience on employment law and he regularly advises both individuals and the Human Resources departments of domestic and multinational companies, on disciplinary and grievance procedures, employment data protection issues, employment aspects of company restructuring, transfer of undertakings, redundancy, provident and pension funds issues, equality and diversity issues and any other labour law implications connected with dismissals, voluntary severance schemes and significant internal restructurings. He also regularly deals with negotiating and drafting contracts of employment, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, restraints of trade, as well as compromise and release agreements and employer’s manuals.
Yiannis works closely and proactively with entrepreneurs, corporate law firms and corporate service providers in many transactions and corporate projects and provides clients with strategies and advice on pre-litigation stages.
